Friday, April 17, at BIQ

Check-in for Friday will be between 8 and 9am, with a continental breakfast. Lunch on Friday will also be with the Conference.

In keeping with the theme of the weekend, a major focus of our discussions will deal with the impact of the family on the educational and emotional lives of highly gifted children. In the morning, the plan is to explore what does and does not lie within the realm of family dynamics – which elements of a child’s life are most influenced by the family – either present circumstances or historical perspectives. In the afternoon, we will go more deeply into the practicalities of it: How does understanding the family’s situation and history allow us to support a child better? Which factors can we influence and which must we merely accept? These and many more questions will be explored. As ever, the issues of twice exceptional, underachievement, perfectionism, and acceleration will never be far away.

Join many of our weekend presenters for these intense sessions!

Because of the design and size of our Friday programming, we tend to do a fair amount of individualization for those who join us.

Please let us know your interests.
