Beyond IQ: Paradoxes and OxymoronsWakefield, MA - May 3-5, 2002Getting to the Sheraton Colonial from the AirportsThe Sheraton Colonial is about 23 miles (half an hour in good traffic) from Boston's Logan International Airport, and about 40 miles (50 minutes in good traffic) from the Manchester, NH airport. Unfortunately, public transportation between Boston and Wakefield is minimal (and of course, nonexistant between Manchester and Wakefield.) Taxis are available, but probably the most expensive option. (If you're on a tight budget, you might take the MBTA Commuter Rail to Wakefield Center, then try to call a taxi from there. I don't know of anyone who's tried this, but it involves several transfers and modes of transit, and so is probably not for the faint of heart.) The hotel has told us of a limo service by name of "Airporter" that will run between Sheraton and both Logan and Manchester airports. For Logan, Airporter quoted us $25 one-way; for Manchester they quoted $98 one way. (For the Manchester trip, a rental car would probably be less expensive. We don't know how much a taxi would charge for either trip.) The Airporter service is by advance reservation only. Airporter's telephone number is 877-899-6161. Please send us mail if you need more info on transportation! Home | Boston Beyond IQ | Program | Children's Programming | Young Adult Workshops | Register | Mail |
